Our history

We've been lucky enough to work in 2 successful companies: Doctolib & Theodo. The recipe for their success is clear: their team. They've managed to hire the best people, put them in the right place and develop them further.

In 10 years, Doctolib has built up a team of 3,000 people who are revolutionizing healthcare. In 10 years, the Theodo group has put together a team of 500 people who are reinventing IT services with Lean & Agile methods.

If the recipe is easy to read, it's more complicated to implement. That's what we found out when we spoke to over 100 companies (start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs). Everyone is aware that "Who is your number one problem", to paraphrase the authors of the book Who. On the other hand, few manage to solve this problem, most often due to a lack of recruter or method.

We launched Sonnar to build the companies of tomorrow. And in our opinion, the best way to do this is to help these companies with their main issue: hiring. It's a subject that's close to our hearts on two levels.

1. On the business side, hiring is the sine qua non of growth. "For 71% of startups surveyed by EY, hiring difficulties are the main obstacle to growth" (La tribune). And yet, companies have a hard time hire: over a third of hires fail (Gojob), which can cost them dearly. According to Antoine Freysz, author of the book"La méthode pour recruter les meilleurs", "A failed hiring can cost much more than €30k, it can even threaten the existence of the company".

2. On the candidate side, hiring has a profound impact on people's lives. Finding a new job is not just a routine transition, it's a major upheaval. A new job can be crucial to personal and professional development, enabling people to realize their ambitions and reach their full potential.

On graduating from EDHEC, Cyrille co-founded Nomad, a ready-to-wear brand, before joining Theodo. After 1 year of web project management, he moved into a Sales position before launching "Theodo Certified" Theodo's freelance activity. He co-founded Sonnar in November 2021.

In his final year of a Master's degree at HEC, Thibaut created Leto, a startup reselling event tickets via a blockchain protocol. After this first entrepreneurial experience, Thibaut joined Doctolib. He worked in the go-to-market team on implementing the growth strategy in France for paramedical specialties. He co-founded Sonnar in November 2021.

After two solid experiences in B2B sales, first at Latécoère (aeronautics) then at Décathlon to develop the brand's entire outbound sales strategy, Marc joined foodtech PopChef as Account Executive. He joined Sonnar to apply all his sales techniques to an equally challenging field: hiring.

After graduating from Audencia, Jeanne joined On train, one of the school's flagship startups, a month after its creation. She joined as the first employee, took part in the whole structuring of the company and successively moved through all the different functions: Marketing, Sales, Product, ending up as Head of Talent & People. She joined Sonnar to be challenged by new and exciting hiring methods, and to be in contact with the founders of the best companies.

After completing an MBA in Bangkok to validate his EDHEC diploma, Alexandre joined Ballauff, an industrial company in his family for 150 years, for 6 months to digitalize sales. He then joined BAM, where he spent 1 year in the Finance team, then hiring and finally Sales, before developing the "Design" BU of 25 UX/UI Designers. His complementary experience is invaluable for understanding our customers' business challenges.

Laura has a strong interest in entrepreneurship and the tech ecosystem. She has coached and mentored numerous C-levels and entrepreneurs at B SMART. She then joined PayFit as SDR Manager, then LACME as Head of Sales, where she structured the B2B offering. Today, she brings her sales expertise and in-depth knowledge of the tech ecosystem to Sonnar.
